Cooking can be so much fun… and quite messy. Each and every month the children participate in hands on baking activities.. Once they have measured, poured, stirred, whipped and decorated their treat…..it’s time to eat up. This unique exercise allows the children to use their cognitive and fine motor skills, as well as their creativity. On special occasions the children help make their own lunch, such as subs, tacos, fruit salad etc…
Each Christmas and thanksgiving each classroom contributes a food group to make a traditional meal. Someone seasons the carrots, gets the potatoes ready, makes some pies, butters the bread and takes everything down to the kitchen.
